The Mile High Centennials boys basketball club is conducting player evaluations (tryouts) for the 2015 JAM Spring League to fill various 4th - 8th grade competitive team rosters. The club is also seeking experienced coaches to help with the spring season.
Players and families seeking a competitive boys team for the spring season of hoops are encouraged to drop-in and train with the club during a select number of Centennials skills clinics marked "JAM SPRING LEAGUE TRYOUTS" on the club SCHEDULE. Players will be allowed to train with the group, during which the Centennials coaching staff will evaluate their abilities in areas such as:
- Ball handling
- Shooting form and accuracy
- Strength, conditioning and balance
- Academics (we promote good grades)
- Family support base and commitment level
Volunteer Coaches Wanted
Volunteer coaches are being recruited to help train youth players during the club's weekly skills clinics and allocated JAM League practice sessions. They will also coach (sometime solely) during games. Experienced moms and dads with sons that play basketball make ideal candidates, and in these instances, club dues are waived entirely for their child(ren). All coaches also get exclusive Centennials gear.
